1. About CPSH
The Children’s Production Support Hub (CPSH) provides training, consultancy, resources and professional registers for people working in production.
This policy explains how CPSH collects and uses personal information through its website and services, including the PCR crew register and ISCAT register.
For privacy questions, requests or concerns, email info@thecpsh.com.
2. Information we collect
The information we collect depends on the services you use. It may include:
-
Your name, email address and other contact details.
-
Account and membership information.
-
Professional profile information, including your photograph, job function, region, experience and qualifications.
-
Showreels or links you submit for your profile.
-
Information you provide when making enquiries or booking training or consultancy.
-
Your consent choices.
-
Technical information, including your IP address, browser information and information about visits to the website.
Please only upload information, photographs or other material that you are entitled to share.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to:
-
Create and manage your account.
-
Provide the services you request.
-
Manage enquiries, bookings and communications about those services.
-
Operate the PCR and ISCAT registers.
-
Send newsletters or promotional communications where you have agreed to receive them.
-
Understand website usage, maintain security and investigate technical problems.
-
Meet applicable legal and record-keeping obligations.
Our lawful basis depends on the purpose. We rely on consent for displaying register information and for marketing communications where consent is required. We rely on performance of a contract for providing services you request, legal obligations for records required by law, and legitimate interests for appropriate administration, responding to enquiries and maintaining website security.
Our legitimate interests are running and protecting our services and communicating with people who contact us. These interests must be balanced against your rights and privacy.
4. PCR crew register: public listings
The PCR crew register helps directors, production teams and others find crew for potential work.
The PCR register is public. Anyone can browse it without creating an account or logging in.
Information submitted for your listing may include your name, contact details, profile photograph, job function and region.
Joining the register is voluntary. We ask for your permission to display your contact information and photograph as part of your listing.
Because the register is public, visitors may copy information and search engines may index it. Removing information from our website does not automatically remove copies held elsewhere.
5. ISCAT register: restricted access
The ISCAT register is password protected. Visitors must log in and have access to the register to view listings.
Your listing may include your name, contact details, photograph, professional information and any showreels or links you submit for display.
We ask for your permission to display your information to users who have access to the register.
Restricted access does not prevent an authorised viewer from copying information.
6. Updating your information and withdrawing permission
You can log into your account to update your register information.
You can withdraw permission for your listing to be displayed at any time by logging in and deleting your register record. Alternatively, email info@thecpsh.com to request removal or help accessing your account.
When you withdraw permission, we will stop displaying the information covered by that permission as soon as possible.
Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before consent was withdrawn. Some information may need to be retained separately for another purpose, such as legally required financial records.
Permission to appear in a register does not include permission to receive promotional emails. You can withdraw marketing permission using an unsubscribe link where provided or by emailing us.
7. Sharing your information
Information in register listings is shared with the audiences described in sections 4 and 5.
Service providers may also process information to support website hosting, account administration, bookings, email delivery, payments and website analytics, where those services are used.
The website uses Google Analytics for visitor measurement.
We may disclose information where required by law or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
External links and showreels hosted by other organisations are subject to those organisations’ privacy arrangements.
8. Processing outside the UK
Some external services, including Google services, may involve processing information outside the UK.
International transfers are subject to applicable UK data protection requirements. Contact info@thecpsh.com for information about the providers and transfer arrangements relevant to your data.
9. Keeping your information
We keep personal information for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected.
We assess retention according to whether your account or listing remains active, whether we need to deliver a service or resolve an enquiry, and whether legal, accounting or dispute-related obligations require continued retention.
We distinguish between removing a listing from view and deleting information retained for other lawful purposes.
Backup copies may remain until they expire or are overwritten under the relevant backup arrangements.
10. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to:
-
Access your personal information.
-
Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
-
Request deletion.
-
Restrict how information is used.
-
Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
-
Receive certain information in a portable format.
-
Withdraw consent at any time.
These rights are subject to applicable conditions and exceptions.
Email info@thecpsh.com to make a request. We may need to confirm your identity before providing information or making changes.
You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator, whether or not you have contacted us first:
